Stop spam SMS alerts by only playing a notification sound and vibrating your phone for senders in your contacts. To make this app work as intended, disable sound and vibration in your normal Messaging app, and let this app do it only for senders in your contacts list. If you are using a version of Android earlier than 4.4, you may like to try the original https://f-droid.org/packages/ru.glesik.nostrangersms, of which this app is a fork.

Unfortunately Android doesn't have default integrated functionality to notify the user periodically about missing calls/messages/other notifications via sound (only LED is blinking). This tool allows you to monitor notifications from any applications which are important for you and perform sound reminder periodically. Just launch app, allow it to receive notification events, select reminder interval and important applications. That's it. If there are any unhandled notifications from thet selected apps in the statusbar, app will notify you periodically with the notification sound you choose. The battery is used only if there are missed notifications which requires periodical reminder. App wakes phone to perform sound notification and then sleep again.

Control Mould King building-block RC toys from your phone over Bluetooth: no Raspberry Pi, no network, fully open source. MoldQueen is a standalone Android app for driving Mould King building-block RC toys. It uses the phone's own Bluetooth radio and serves its control interface on the device, so it needs no Raspberry Pi, no network, and no cloud account. It speaks a reverse-engineered Bluetooth Low Energy broadcast protocol, and follows a "thin transport, smart client" design: the radio just broadcasts the toy's control telegrams, while the on-device client resolves every control to a channel and owns the per-toy mapping. Recent Contacts lets you see your recently and most called contacts in one overview, and it lets you make direct phone calls straight from the widget itself without launching the dialer app first. As with any widget, if you don't like using it, it can easily be removed.

An attacker would have to scan(copy) your NFC tag and either steal and root your Android device to get your password. If you suspect that your NFC tag has been read, you can use NFC Key again to re-write it with new random values, rendering the previous information useless.

NFC Quick Settings is a simple, open source, utility for quickly checking the device's current NFC status, and enabling or disabling NFC with as few taps as possible. NFC Quick Settings has no user interface of it's own. Instead, once installed, you will see a new "NFC" tile available when customising your Quick Settings menu. Android security limitations do not allow any third-party apps, such as this, to turn NFC on or off directly, so when tapped, the NFC Quick Settings tile will simply open the device's NFC Settings page (if the device has one), where you can enable or disable NFC as desired. NFC Quick Settings also has an advanced mode that allows NFC to be toggled directly from the tile, without having to going the NFC Settings page. But this advanced mode requires special permissions, which can only be granted via the Android Debug Bridge on a desktop computer.
